- kraft dinner
- bacon
- chicken strips
- alfredo sauce
- broccoli
Pantry staples
- salt & pepper
- cooking oil
- butter
Let's cook
- Bring a medium pot of salted water to a boil. Add the Kraft Dinner macaroni and cook according to package directions (about 7-8 minutes), then drain and set aside.
- While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 6 strips of bacon (about half a standard pack for 3 people) and cook until crispy, about 5-6 minutes. Transfer bacon to a paper towel-lined plate, then crumble it once cooled. Drain most of the bacon fat but leave a thin coating in the pan.
- In the same skillet over medium-high heat, add a drizzle of cooking oil. Season the chicken strips with salt and pepper, then cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from pan and slice into bite-sized pieces.
- Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet over medium heat. Add 2 cups of broccoli florets and sautΓ© for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until bright green and just tender. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Reduce heat to medium-low. Add the drained macaroni back to the skillet along with the sliced chicken and half a jar (about 1 cup) of alfredo sauce. Stir everything together gently.
- Add the KD cheese powder packet and 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet, stirring until fully combined and creamy. If the sauce seems too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water.
- Fold in the crumbled bacon, taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, then serve immediately straight from the skillet.
